The SAUK Annual Report reports all the good work we have done in the year. It includes personal accounts, highlights from 2007-08, fundraising efforts and opportunities ahead, SAUK’s governance and financial reports.

To commemorate the 25^th anniversary of SAUK this lovely metallic silver brochure was produced.  The brochure gives details of SAUK’s history and achievements and includes lots of interesting articles on subjects including surgical treatment of scoliosis, Pilates, the Alexander Technique and has personal accounts from our members.

DVD Part 1

Part 1 includes three of the presentations covering the topics ‘Respiratory problems – How to beat them’ by Dr Anita Simonds FRCP, ‘Is scoliosis inherited?’ by Dr Anne Child and ‘The role of occupational therapy’ by SAUK regional secretary and occupational therapist, Lorna Neave.

DVD Part 2

Part 2 includes the two speaker’s presentation from the meeting.  Mr Sean Molloy FRCS and Mr Alan Gardner FRCS discuss surgery for adults with scoliosis.

Progressive Infantile Scoliosis can be corrected by early diagnosis and early referral for treatment by using the child’s growth as a powerful corrective force.  Miss Min Mehta FRCS has been researching and practicing in this area for many years and in this time has helped lots of children with scoliosis to grow straight.  In this video she describes the principles that underlie her work, how to examine and treat babies and young children with scoliosis and families with children with scoliosis describe their experiences.  This video is designed for health professionals and anyone with an interest in treating scoliosis in infants.

SAUK infantile meeting

The meeting will be hosted by Mr Hilali Noordeen FRCS who along with a team of scoliosis specialists will be discussing the causes and diagnosis of infantile, juvenile and congenital scoliosis, treatment options and current research.
